Maple Walnut Raisin Cream Cheese

So simple to make and unlike the ones you buy, you will know exactly what you are eating. While I won’t pretend to say this is “healthy”, it does only use natural ingredients. That’s helps…right? A bit of brown sugar, pure maple syrup and molasses. Then you have raisins and walnuts which are full of protein and some fiber too. So far, so good!

  • 8 ounces cream cheese Spreadable
  • 2 teaspoons walnuts coarsely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons raisins chopped
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon molasses

  • Blend all ingredients and chill for an hour or two.
  • Spread this on your bagels or toast for a great morning treat.

If you have a little extra time, I recommend toasting the walnuts in a skillet for just a minute or two.  This will enhance the flavor and ensure they stay crispy when added to  the spread
